According to the weather boffins the September just past was the warmest on record for this neck of the woods since records began. Can't say I noticed it, but I have noticed that our olive trees have so much blossom that we will surely have a record crop of olives in the coming summer of 2020. Of more concern is the political turmoil on so many fronts around the world. Even in Australia we have our share of political galloots. I find myself waking at 3am and thinking about the latest worrisome things domestically and internationally. Plus there seems to be an urban crime wave which shows little sign of diminishment. Are we heading for a dystopian way of life curable only by extreme prejudice. When I have my first cup of tea just before the break of dawn I treat myself to the enjoyment of dunking two Milk Arrowroot biscuits. This was something I learned from my mother at a very early age, maybe before I was four or five years old. It's a practice I still highly recommend.
