Yesterday was very satisfying on all counts

What more could a grandfather ask for.

I have to admit a bit of a shadow fell on my normal bright self a few weeks ago when a routine 5 yearly bowel screening test advised a colonoscopy. More so when I realised the procedure had been scheduled for the same date the NASA New Horizons deep space probe was to make its closest approach to the planet Pluto. I had been looking forward to witnessing it since I wrote in detail about a cancelled launch on 18 June 2006 at http://www.livejournal.com/users/fremantlebiz/2006/01/18/ and about my actually seeing it pass overhead as it left Earth two days later on 20 June 2006 at http://fremantlebiz.livejournal.com/2006/01/20/

The good news about both probes is that the colonoscopy results couldn't have been better - no potentially cancerous polyps detected at all and I was wide awake well in time to visit my grandson Lincoln during the afternoon; and to also to enjoy the New Horizons deep space probe have its close encounter with Pluto last night. So much excitement for one day.

I also wrote about a previous colonoscopy with 'another thumbs' up photo at http://fremantlebiz.livejournal.com/2010/11/18/ Hard to believe it was five years ago.
